PhD BSc Civil Engineer

Civil Engineer since 2007 by the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and PhD since 2011, being his supervisors Professor Antonio Aguado (Full Professor, PhD) and ClimentMolins (Associate Professor, PhD).

His research field consist of the non – linear analysis and optimization of fibre reinforced concrete structures; material which is increasing its use as alternative to other traditional solutions in tunnelling construction, building and industrial construction, repair of heritage, among others. In addition, he is also focused in aspects related to sustainability of concrete structures, participating in the development of sustainability assessment tools. In both lines of research he is supervising PhD thesis and he is publishing his research results in high impact international journals, as well as, in symposia, congresses and other research forums.

He is member of various national (Commission 2 of ACHE, Materials) and international (fib TG 1.7. Fibre Reinforced Precast Segments for Tunnels, fig TG 6.15. Sustainability of Precast Concrete Structures) committees in which design guidelines, regulations and standards are being implemented.

At level of research and innovation transfer, he is participating as a member and/or coordinator of the research group in some public and private funding in which the most important Spanish companies within the construction sector are involved.

He is Associate Professor at the Civil and Environmental Engineering of UPC since 2018, having been coordinator of the subjects related to the reinforced concrete structures and the concrete structures advanced design gathered in the Civil Engineering and Construction Engineering Degrees and in the Master of Civil Engineering.
