PhD MSc BSc Civil Engineer

She got the degree of Civil Engineer in 2009 from the UniversitatPolitècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and the doctoral degree from the same university in 2013. In the doctoral program of the Department of Construction Engineering she developed her research in the field of special concretes under the supervision of Professor Antonio Aguado and Assistant Professor Albert de la Fuente. Her doctoral thesis, entitled “Characterization and modelling of SFRC elements”, focuses on both the experimental and numerical study of the behaviour of steel fibre reinforced concrete. Part of her thesis was conducted in Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) in the Netherlands in a research stay of 6 months which awarded her the international mention of the doctoral degree.

Her current areas of interest focus on special concretes (e.g. self-compacting concrete, fibre reinforced concrete, sprayed concrete and controlled low-strength materials), the analysis fo concrete dams with pathologies (e.g. expansions in concrete dams) and the development of testing methods for the quality control of structures and materials (e.g. new testing methods for fibre reinforced concrete). In general, her research was undertaken in the scope of public research projects (public funding from “Plan Nacional” and INNPACTO) or in private projects with companies or local administrations. She is author or co-author of several scientific articles published in international indexed journals.
